Since a few years now, I’m practicing with piano tuning. Recently I ordered new equipment. A professional tuning hammer and some other materials. I found an old piano at the conservatory of Tilburg that was used for the ‘Play me I’m Yours’ project in 2011. Although the pinblock has a lot of cracks in it, it’s still usable for equel temperament tuning practice!

Yesterday we recorded three tracks for the EP of the Fontys Jazz Choir. It was really nice to play in the professional studio of Wisseloord Hilversum on a nice sixties steinway grand piano! People like Waylon, Alain Clark and Anouk also recorded their albums in this studio. Check out the other pictures at the ‘ pictures’ page! When the EP is finished I will post some audio files.

Tomorrow I will play a try out of my final exam program. Because of this I can suddenly see my name and face everywhere in the local newspapers! I like it!! Hope to see you there!

Next tuesday i’m playing at the opening of the jazz session of the Paradox Tilburg. I’ll be playing some of my own compositions and a couple of my favorite standards. Mitchell Damen will be playing the drums, Joost Verbakel on double-bass and Evelien Keesmaat will sing. It would be nice to see you there! The evening starts at 21u!
