Pianoles

Ik geef sinds 2012 pianoles bij verschillende muziekscholen. In februari 2026 heb ik besloten om mijn eigen onafhankelijk muziekschool te beginnen, Pianoschool Daan van Schaik, in ‘Buurthuis Zilst’, Veldhoven.

Het doel van mijn lessen is om je te helpen piano te leren spelen op een gestructureerde en leuke manier. Ik gebruik verschillende pianomethodes om de basis te leren (ritme, akkoorden, theorie, notenlezen en techniek). Door mijn jarenlange ervaring heb ik geleerd dat het helpt om leerlingen muziek te laten spelen die ze echt leuk vinden. Daarom kunnen we in mijn lessen ook pop-, jazz-, klassieke muziek spelen en meer leren over improvisatie. Daarnaast is het ook mogelijk om muziek te spelen van bijvoorbeeld: De Efteling, K3, Kinderen voor Kinderen, gamemuziek (Fortnite, Minecraft, Supermario), filmmuziek (Amelie, Disney, Frozen, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars). Achtergrond

Ik ben in 2014 afgestudeerd aan het Conservatorium van Tilburg in de richting Jazz piano. Tijdens deze bacheloropleiding heb ik ook 4 jaar klassiek pianoles gevolgd. Daarnaast ben ik afgestudeerd Pedagoog aan de Universiteit van Utrecht. Ik merk dat dit mij erg helpt in het lesgeven aan kinderen en jongeren. Ook heb ik ervaring in muziekproductie. In 2007 heb ik de basisopleiding Sound Design gevolgd aan de HKU.

Piano lessons (English)

I’ve been teaching piano since 2012 in different music schools. In February 2026 I decided to start my own independent music school, Pianoschool Daan van Schaik, in ‘Buurthuis Zilst’, Veldhoven.

My goal in the lessons is to help you learn how to play piano in a structured, and fun way. I use different piano books to teach the fundamentals (rhythm, harmony, theory, note reading and technique). During the years as a teacher, I noticed that it helps students to play music they really like. So, to keep things varied, we can also play pop music, classical music, jazz and learn more about improvisation. Other genres include music from: De Efteling, game music (Fortnite, Minecraft, Supermario), movie music (Amelie, Disney, Frozen, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars). Background

In 2014 I graduated from the conservatory of Tilburg for my Bachelor of Jazz Piano. During this time, I also followed classical piano lessons for four years at the same conservatory. In addition, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Pedagogical Sciences in Utrecht in 2010. This helps me greatly in teaching children and adolescents. I also have experience in music production. In 2007 I followed the pre-education course for Sound Design at the HKU.
